Karbonn has launched ‘Karbonn Smart Tab 1’ and ‘Karbonn A9’ Smartphone, along with a range of affordable and technologically advanced networked devices, which the brand claims will help them strengthen their position as a global leader of affordable mobile solutions.Looking to create a distinctive niche for itself in the smartphone and tablets segment in the highly engaged Indian mobile market, Karbonn Mobiles has introduced its nuevo brand extension christened ‘Karbonn Smart’ under whose umbrella the new range of products will be marketed.
First up is the Karbonn Smart Tab 1, which according to Karbonn Mobiles, will bring about a technological revolution in the already dynamic Indian Tab market. Loaded with Android 4.0.3 Ice Cream Sandwich running on the 1.2 GHz X-Burst processor, the Smart Tab 1 features an 17.8 cm capacitive 5-point touch screen powered by a 3,700 mAh battery. Featuring 3D gravity sensor, Wi-Fi and 3G support through USB dongle, Karbonn Smart Tab 1 comes with a 2MP front camera, along with pre-embedded applications, like Karbonn Smart Browser and Karbonn Smart games, TOI & ET app, Facebook and much more.

The brand has also launched the A9, A5 and A7 smartphones in the Indian market. Here's a detailed look at the specifications of the trio. The A9 is priced at Rs. 9,490, the A7 is priced at Rs. 7,490 and the A5 is priced at Rs. 5,790.
