Google has started rolling out Android 4.2.1 to Nexus 7 and Galaxy Nexus.
If one is using a Galaxy Nexus smartphone, the update is available for those using the Takju and Yakju versions of the handset. The update is available as an over-the-air update and the software is still in the process of being rolled out. If one does not see the option to update their device, then you need not worry as it should roll out soon enough. However, XDA has provided download links if one wants to manually update their handsets. Those with a custom recovery mode can download the zip file, copy it on to your device and flash it through the same.
Here are the links to download Android 4.2.1:

A few days ago, a strange issue for devices running on the Android 4.2 Jelly Bean platform was reported. The entire month of December was missing in the People app.
Based on the posts issued by users of the latest Nexus devices, the update is just 1.1MB and the build is dubbed JOP40D. The major feature of this version is that it addresses the December event glitch that had been prevalent in the earlier build of Android 4.2. With this update, all other features remain the same as the previous version.
A few days back it was reported that Google had promised that a fix would be available soon. In an official post, Google had acknowledged that it discovered a bug in the app update that left out the month of December in the People app. The niggling bug facing users of Android 4.2 Jelly Bean clearly meant that those with birthdays, anniversaries or other important events scheduled for the month would be left in an odd spot.
Google wrote in its post, "We discovered a bug in the Android 4.2 update, which makes it impossible to enter December events in optional fields of the People app (this bug did not affect Calendar). Rest assured, this will be fixed soon so that those of you with December birthdays and anniversaries won't be forgotten by your friends and family."
