Ubisoft to release huge patch for Assassin's Creed III

Ubisoft has now detailed a large upcoming patch that is aimed at fixing around a hundred other bugs of Assassin's Creed III. According to a post on the official forums, Ubisoft will be releasing the patch by the end of next week. The company has also said that the PC version of the game will ship with all the patches apply, giving PC gamers a considerably less buggy experience than console gamers at launch.

On the single player side of things, there are many bugs in story missions where mission objectives couldn't be completed because of various bugs. There are many fixes to bugs on the multiplayer side of things as well, including one where a lose streak wouldn't get triggered even after the appropriate amount of deaths. While all the bug fixes apply to both the PlayStation 3 and the Xbox 360 versions of the game, the consoles are getting platform specific bug fixes as well, with major bugs in the Westpoint DLC for the PS3 being fixed. The Xbox 360 version saw the removal of the map icon for the Benedict Arnold DLC, as the DLC is exclusive to the PlayStation 3 version of the game. You can catch the complete patch notes on the Ubisoft forums. There are many story spoilers mentioned in the patch notes, so spoiler warnings apply.
