According to 9to5Mac, Apple’s three major digital stores will see design overhauls. The overhauls are said to be major and they focus on improved interactivity when making purchases in iTunes, the App Store, and the iBookstore. Social is a big piece of the store overhauls, and Facebook integration is being tested in the iTunes Store portion, at least.
The most interesting part about this is that these new stores will not include improved discoverability on the backend. Apple recently acquired a company called Chomp that focuses on improved discoverability of applications. While Apple plans to use the Chomp technology across their three digital stores, the implementation will not be ready in time for the iOS 6 launch.
We’ll find out what kind of overhaul we’ll see when WWDC kicks off on June 11.
