Tata Docomo GSM customers get video ringtone service


Tata Docomo puts forth its newest offering for GSM customers across circles in the form of the Video Ringtone service. This VAS offering allows Tata Docomo customers to set a video as their ringtone. Customers can avail of the offer by visiting this site -tatadocomo.vringo.com on their mobile browser. It will be their homepage for managing their video ringtone collection. On registration to the service, users can instantly start searching for new video ringtones, which are known has Vringos. A series of Vringo categories will be displayed and on liking a Vringo, they simply need to click and download it. Tata Docomo calls it a first-of-its-kind service, which has been powered by Hungama. Tata Docomo has been trying to enhance its services for its customers, the telecom operator recently joined hands with Exent to offer mobile game subscription to its Android users.



Commenting on this service, Anjan Patole, Chief Operating Officer, Mumbai Circle, Tata Teleservices Maharashtra Limited, said: “Video ringtone is definitely a zing thing that will entice our GSM customers instead of the boring audio Ringtone. Vringo is first ever service in Indian industry and the first with Tata DOCOMO. This innovative and exciting service will give our customers the freedom to choose a video from vast library and collection of videos available.” 


The Vringo service costs only Re.1/day (auto renewal), which offers access to Tata Docomo’s huge video ringtones library. Tata Docomo will charge users for the daily subscription charge, and they will also have to pay data charges for downloading videos from the portal that again will depend on their data plan. Vringo portal is loaded with various genres, like Bollywood, funny videos, devotional videos, popular television campaigns (ads), etc.
