RIM has launched its multi-platform device management tool, BlackBerry Mobile Fusion - which will allow companies and their administrators to manage BlackBerry, iOS, and Android phones and tablets with one solution.
The BlackBerry Mobile Fusion was announced back in November, and is considered to be the product of RIM's acquisition of Ubitexx in May, a data management company. It is now available for free download, and will cost companies annual invididual client access licenses (CALs) for employees.A free 60-day trial is also being offered.
RIM recently announced a change in its business strategies - it would now concentrate onconsolidating its enterprise markets, something Mobile Fusion will undoubtedly help with, aiming to become the "most complete end-to-end solution," which offers tried and tested BlackBerry security and enterprise services across a gamut of devices.
With BlackBerry Mobile Fusion, corporate IT staff would be able to control and manage devices, passwords, policies, configurations, apps and software. It can also remotely lock/wipe stolen/missing devices, amongst other features. The BlackBerry Balance technology is also supported, alongside BlackBerry Infrastucture security.
For now, U.S. pricing for CALs start from $99 per year per user or $4.00 per month. For more details, refer to RIM's BlackBerry Mobile Fusion page.
