Nokia launches Asha 205 in India for Rs 3,499


Nokia has introduced yet another Asha-series phone in India, the Asha 205. The device is priced at Rs. 3,499 and is slated to hit the store shelves on December 24, 2012.


The Nokia Asha 205 comes with a full QWERTY keyboard and a dedicated Facebook button. The phone also comes with Nokia's Slam feature, which allows users to share multimedia content such as photos, music, and videos with nearby friends instantly. Slam works with most Bluetooth-enabled mobile phones without the need to pair devices, and without the recipient needing to also have Slam.

Some of the key specs of the Nokia Asha 205 are:-

  • 0.3MP camera 
  • Dual-SIM with easy Swap
  • 64MB built-in storage, expandable up to 32GB
  • Connectivity: Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR with Slam, 2G, GPRS and EDGE
  • 1,020 mAh battery.

The Asha 205 comes with a number of preloaded applications including Google Talk, Yahoo!, Facebook chat, Windows Live Messenger, eBuddy, Direct chat, Hotmail, Yahoo! Mail, Gmail, Nokia Mail, Direct Email, and 40 EA games.
