Microsoft launches public beta of Windows 8

Microsoft will be releasing the public beta version of its new operating system Windows 8 today. The company has already made us excited by changing the symbol of Windows. Windows 8 Consumer Preview is now ready for download, so if you want to download it follow this link. I have got this link from Tech2.

This new version of Windows offers versions for both ARM and x86 hardare and features an alternate Metro UI with touch friendly apps, enabling support for portable devices like tablets. Microsoft is offering two ways to get Windows 8 running on your POC. The first link will download a 5 MB setup file that will check and see if your current PC meets the minimum requirements and then, automatically download the corrent version (32-bit or 64-bit). You can also choose to create and Iso file form these files or simply dowload the ISO directly, if you want to instell this on another partition ot PC. If you can running Windows 7 on your PC, then Windows 8 will smoothly run your system.
The minimum system requirements of Windows 8 as follows :
  • ·         Processor: 1 GHz or faster
  • ·         RAM : 1GB (for 32 bit) or 2 GB (for 64 bit)
  • ·         Hard disk space : 16 GB (for 32 bit) or 20 GB (for 64 bit)
  • ·         To use touch, you need a teblet or monitor that supports multitouch
  • ·         To access Windows Store abd to download and run apps, You nedd an active internet connection and a screen resolution of at least 1024 X 768
  • ·         To snap apps, you nedd a screen resolution of at least 1336 X768
